Mother’s Day is here! This year, skip buying a bouquet of flowers for mom, and instead take her to the whole garden. EPCOT’s International Flower & Garden festival is in full bloom at the Walt Disney World Resort. This yearly festival is the perfect gift for any parent who enjoys the beauty of nature, the wonder of Disney and delicious food. Running from March 1st to July 5th, this year’s Flower and Garden Festival boasts nearly 30 topiaries and 15 outdoor kitchens for Guests to explore.

Check out some of the festival offerings for all types of moms below!

1)  Great Food
If there’s one thing that EPCOT is known for, it’s their plethora of food and drink offerings. Take a break from standard theme park fare and let mom enjoy some of the best food from around the globe at the World Showcase. Returning this year is one of my favorite booths – The Honey Bee-stro. With food like Chicken and Waffles drizzled in spicy honey and a Honey-Mascarpone Cheesecake, this booth is the perfect place to take sweet-hearted mothers!

2) Spike’s Pollen-Nation Exploration
Each EPCOT festival has its own unique scavenger hunt throughout the park. This year, Guests will be searching for Spike the Bee. Hidden throughout topiaries and gardens, Spike takes Guests on a journey around the festival. This activity is perfect for moms who enjoy leisurely walks or who have a competitive edge. My favorite thing about this scavenger hunt is it requires you to journey into each of the World Showcase countries and explore often empty paths around EPCOT. It offers a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the usual theme park experience. Enjoy spending time with mom by participating in Spike’s Pollen-Nation Exploration Scavenger Hunt and win a surprise gift at the end!

3) Garden Rocks Concert Series
Found at the America Gardens Theatre in the American Adventure Pavilion is the Garden Rocks Concert Series. If your mom is a lover of music, this would be the perfect place to take her. From May 12th through the 15th, The Orchestra starring former members of ELO will be performing. These 30-minute shows run three times a day so be sure to catch one at 5:30, 6:45 or 8:00 p.m.

4) Butterfly Landing
Mother nature and nature loving mothers alike will enjoy the Butterfly Garden found between EPCOT’s Imagination and Land Pavilions. At this exhibit you will find live butterflies, beautiful flowers, informative displays and even a nursery of developing cocoons.  

5) The Topiaries
Of course, one of the must sees at the festival are the collection of topiaries spread throughout the park. Artistically inclined mothers will love seeing these masterful works of art. Each topiary has been carefully nurtured and styled to create stunningly beautiful displays.
