First-Look at DreamWorks Land Coming to Universal Orlando Resort

All-New Kid-Friendly Area Coming to Universal Orlando Resort

Summer 2024 is shaping up to be a big season for Universal Orlando Resort. While Guests eagerly await the opening of Epic Universe in 2025, those visiting Universal Studios Florida this summer will have the chance to visit the all-new DreamWorks Land. Replacing the previous Woody Woodpecker’s KidZone, this new child-friendly area of the park will bring attractions and offerings all themed around various DreamWorks franchises. From Shrek to Trolls to Kung-Fu Panda, this area will be the vibrant and bright oasis that kids will love to explore.

Shrek Themed Experiences Coming to DreamWorks Land

Shrek’s Swap for Little Ogre’s

Ever dreamed of visiting Shrek’s swamp? With this new play area, Guests can do just that. Situated where Fievel’s Playland used to be, Shrek’s Swamp for Little Ogres is designed with the smallest Guest in mind. Here, kids can find four slides, a splash pad and a playground that incorporates Shrek’s iconic outhouse, as seen in the opening of the Shrek film.

King Harold’s Swamp Symphony

With Fiona’s father, King Harold, being turned into a frog during the events of Shrek 2, he is now inviting Guests to join him in creating their own melodious masterpiece using lily pads. Guests will stomp on these interactive lily pads to trigger a symphony of ribbits that will create a chorus of noise.

Shrek’s Swamp Meet at Universal Studios Florida

Missing the ability to meet Shrek and friends at Universal Orlando Resort? In summer of 2024, this unique meet-and-greet opportunity will return, this time right in front of Shrek’s home. Next to Shrek’s Swamp for Little Ogre’s, Guest will find a life-size replica of Shrek’s cottage where they can come face-to-face with Shrek, Princess Fiona and the ever-talkative Donkey. We’ve been missing Donkey’s creative quips and jabs and are looking forward to meeting this four-legged comedian when he returns.

Swamp Snacks at Universal Studios Florida

Have the appetite the size of an ogre? Now you can satisfy it at this all-new quick service location, Swamp Snacks. This kiosk will serve cleverly named items such as the Shrekzel, Far Far A Waffle, Frozen Ogre and more. We here at Tickets2You are wondering if the rat-on-a-stick that Fiona and Shrek share in the first Shrek film will make an appearance at this kiosk. Stay tuned to the Tickets2You blog for a look at the full menu once it is released.

Mama Luna Feline Fiesta at Universal Studios Florida

For Guests that prefer the cute eyes and cuddly softness of Puss in Boots, Puss in Boots 2: The Last Wish will be brought to life at Mama Luna Feline Fiesta. This interactive experience lets Guests play with Mama Luna’s cats through interactive screens that are activated by buttons, bells, maracas and levers. Keep an eye out for everyone’s favorite swashbuckling feline, as he may make the occasional appearance.

Kung-Fu Panda Experiences Coming to DreamWorks Land

Po’s Kung Fu Training Camp at Universal Studios Florida

Explore the Panda Village from the Kung-Fu Panda film franchise like never before. Located where Curious George Goes to Town used to reside, this new play area has been rethemed to Po’s home. Here, Guests will find interactive water features, such as water cannons and dump buckets, to help them cool down from the Florida heat. Dry play areas will feature gongs, giant fans and oversized merry-go-round noodle bowls from Mr. Ping’s Noodle Shop.

Po Live! At Universal Studios Florida

Using state-of-the-art digital technology, Guests can now interact with Po himself in an all-new way as he teaches his kung-fu wisdom, demonstrates how to cook a delicious stir-fry and takes care of his cousin Ling Ling all at once. This digital meet-and-greet is bringing the Dragon Warrior and the world of Kung-Fu Panda to life in a way that Guests have never seen before.

Trolls Themed Experiences Coming to DreamWorks Land

Trolls Trollercoaster at Universal Studios Florida

The rumors of Woody Woodpecker’s Nuthouse Coaster being rethemed to a Trolls themed attraction seem to have been true. The Trollercoaster will transport Guests to the vibrant world of Trolls where they will embark on a thrilling adventure aboard the caterpillar Caterbus. Throughout the queue, Guests can expect to encounter familiar characters like Poppy, Viva, Tiny Diamond, Satin and Chenille. The once red and blue track has been repainted to a bright orange and yellow that will take Guests on twists and turns as they dodge evil spiders.

Poppy’s Playground at Universal Studios Florida

The youngest of trolls will enjoy this shaded play area situated under giant 20-foot mushrooms. Here, bouncing and climbing structures of many varieties will be found for the littlest Guest to climb and play on.

Trolls Treats at Universal Studios Florida

Treats straight from Poppy’s boombox will be available here at Trolls Treats. Poppy has repurposed the boombox into an ice cream kiosk, where delicious cool treats can be found to help Guests cool off from the Florida heat.
