Explore Sesame Street at SeaWorld Orlando
This spring, Sesame Street is coming to life at SeaWorld Orlando! The six-acre immersive land, replacing Shamu’s Happy Harbor, will be an amazing recreation of everyone’s favorite neighborhood that officially opens to the public on March 27.
Interactive Play Areas
The kid-friendly land will feature wet and dry play areas and fun interactive experiences for families to explore together. Guests will be able to take a stroll down the exact Sesame Street they’ve always seen on TV with familiar landmarks to explore, such as a full-sized replica of Mr. Hooper’s Store. Other interactive elements of the iconic neighborhood include Abby Cadabby’s Garden, Big Bird’s Nest, and the infamous 123 stoop.
Bike Shop Tricycle Challenge: At the bike shop, join in a motion sensing digital game that requires you to move your body to control a virtual tricycle down the street collecting numbers before the time runs out.
Two Headed Monster Pipe Telephone: Speak into the pipe telephone at the Ivy Building door and listen to hear your voice transformed into a friendly monster voice!
Elmo’s Window: Play, dance and sing with Elmo and friends at his bedroom window
Bert and Ernie’s Doorbell: Ring the doorbell at Bert and Ernie’s apartment for some fun surprises
Yip Yip’s Mail Slot: When you lift the handle of the mail slot, you can see the Yip Yip Martians at the beach, at a disco, and other fun scenes
Sesame Street Apartment Intercom: Call Grover, Rosita, Abby Cadabby and other friendly monsters on their apartment intercom
Cookie Monster’s Foodie Truck Challenge: Follow video instructions from Cookie Monster and Gonger and press the correct recipe ingredient buttons to create delicious meals.
Laundromat: Pop bubbles and guess what kind of laundry is being washed on the washing machines’ touch screens
Oscar’s Trash Can: Knock on Oscar’s trash can at your own risk…you might get a grouchy response!
Backstage Queue Warm-Up: While waiting in line to meet and greet with your favorite Sesame Street characters, enjoy six theater inspired non-digital activities.
Create-A-Monster: Choose from a variety of eye, nose, mouth, hair, and clothes options to make your own digital monster that will be displayed on the Community Center window.
Rides & Attractions
Shamu’s Happy Harbor was SeaWorld Orlando’s primary play area for little ones, with rides and attractions that even the tiniest park guests could enjoy. This will continue in the Sesame Street area, with several popular rides being re-themed to fit the new land.
Elmo’s Choo Choo Train: “Help Elmo find some of his favorite things in nature during this bell-ringing, horn-honking train rides”
Abby’s Flower Tower: “Pick a flower pot and up up up you will go! Spin around high above the ground while you get a magical view of Sesame Street at SeaWorld”
Super Grover’s Box Car Derby: “this family friendly coaster is full of fun hills, big turns, and mini-dives! This action packed race is the perfect first steel roller coaster for kids and adults”
Cookie Drop: “laugh your way up and down on this crumbly, crazy, family friendly vertical drop ride”
Slimey’s Slider: “slide and glide as you rock and whirl through oscar’s treasured compost collection for a grouchy good time!”
Big Bird’s Twirl’N’Whirl: “Get ready to twirl and whirl in your very own nest on this family favorite teacup ride”
Count-A-Round Playground: There is endless fun to be had at this Count Von Count inspired dry play area
Rubber Duckie Water Works: Join Bert and Ernie on this awesome water playground
Character Encounters
In addition to getting to explore the iconic neighborhood, the new land gives guests a chance to interact with the beloved furry monsters like never before with appearances from Elmo, Cookie Monster, Big Bird and more throughout the area ready to meet and greet with guests!
You’ll also get to experience the characters in a whole new way, with daily parades throughout the park. SeaWorld Orlando’s first-ever parade will feature exciting floats, dancers, and Sesame Street characters. Each float will be a moving recreation of familiar neighborhood elements such as Mr. Hooper’s Store.
Dining
The neighborhood’s dining offerings come from a variety of food trucks and a specialty drink stand located in the area. All three dining locations offer delicious food and drinks that even the pickiest little eaters will enjoy!
